Social Innovation Fund Non-Profit Grantees Announced

The Social Innovation Fund has announced its first round of grantees — 11 non-profit organizations around the nation receiving a total of $50 million grants for programs addressing economic opportunity, health care, youth development and education.  The Fund is an initiative enacted under the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act as a new way of doing business for the federal government, in order to have greater impact on urgent national challenges.  Check it out and look into the individual grantees if this cutting-edge initiative interests you.
