What are the best and worst work places for LGBT employees? Human Rights Campaign has just released their annual Corporate Equality Index, and the good news is that the number of companies with a perfect score has increased from 260 to 305, a number either based in or with offices in the Washington, DC area, such as Booze Allen Hamilton, Fannie Mae, Sodexho, and Sprint Nextel.

Which companies may give you pause? The Huffington Post is featuring those with the worst ten scores.

Rated employers are drawn from:

  • Fortune magazine’s 1,000 largest publicly traded businesses (the Fortune 1000),
  • Forbes magazine’s 200 largest privately owned firms and
  • American Lawyer magazine’s top 200 revenue grossing law firms (the AmLaw 200).

Additionally, any private-sector, for profit employer with 500+ full-time, U.S. based employees may request inclusion. Click here for the entire report.
